Unique Products designed for Bella Vista residents and Visitors to beautiful NW Arkansas
This is Shirley Dawson, the creator and designer of the Bella Vista Outdoors blog site. I’m an artist, web designer, photographer, image creator, nature lover, mom, wife, and grandmother, and a Bella Vista resident for a decade and a visitor for many years before that. While I can no longer explore Bella Vista as I once did (I’m now in a wheelchair), I still love this gorgeous area of the Ozarks and Arkansas.
In my youth, I was very active, coaching and playing softball and volleyball, playing racquetball, and spending a lot of time outdoors. I loved fishing and being on the water. Horseback riding was a passion and frequent activity of mine as an adult. I currently create blog sites, websites, and online stores, and am using AI to generate new kinds of art.
My husband, Mel, and I began visiting Bella Vista in the early 2000’s and were regular visitors for many years. As we grew older and closer to retirement, we decided this was the area we wanted to move to in retirement (from central Arkansas). We moved here in the summer of 2016 and have truly loved living here with so much nature and nature activities just outside our doorstep.
During my early visits, I could still walk the trails, take cool photographs, paddle the lakes, bike the rolling paths and enjoy several outdoor activities here. Not so anymore, but I still love seeing the trees, birds, wildlife, lakes, and more. My husband still enjoys the hiking club, playing pickleball, road biking, exercise classes, and walking our dog.
I still enjoy creating beautiful images and designs, so I have opened a POD (print on demand) Shop to offer products I have designed using gorgeous images of Bella Vista and the surrounding area. My former neighbor, friend, and photographer, Dave Melear, has allowed me to use some of his magnificent images of Bella Vista when creating my product designs.
