Dave Melear, our photographer, has captured many beautiful images of Bella Vista’s Lake Norwood over the years. Living just above the lake, he often walked the trail down to the shoreline in the early morning hours with his camera, hoping to capture the quiet beauty and wildlife that make Lake Norwood so special.
One cool April morning, Dave photographed a scene that perfectly captures the peaceful spirit of Bella Vista. A gentle mist rose from the lake as the cool morning air met the warmer water. Out on the still surface, a family of Canada geese quietly made their way across the lake, creating a scene that felt almost timeless.
Later that same morning, Dave captured another memorable image—a pair of deer quietly crossing the Lake Norwood levee. Together, these photographs tell the story of a peaceful Ozark morning, where nature moves at its own gentle pace.
